SOE is a commonly used abbreviation for Standard Operating Environment (SOE). An SOE is a specific computer
operating system (usually Windows) and collection of software that an IT department defines as a standard build. SOEs help if you’re managing a lot of computers (PC’s or hardware) and want to reduce complexities of building, managing, maintaining, and updating individual PC’s. With SOEs, IT teams manage the lifecycle and maintenance of servers and workstations. SOEs are a foundation for predictable, repeatable, reliable IT infrastructure. 

You control your own data. When you put your data in the OptechX cloud storage, you remain the owner of the data. We perform day-to-day tasks by running workflows that do not give any of our engineer’s access to your data but allow us to maintain optimal performance at all times. All user data is encrypted at rest with a unique AES256 private key generated when you sign up. Our engineers maintain “zero-standing access” to all system operations. When data transits into the service from clients, and between datacentres, it’s protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. We only permit secure access. We do not allow authenticated connections over HTTP, but instead redirect to HTTPS.

OptechX has many other security features including:
– rotational scanning for known threats
– ransomware detection and recovery
– automated version history for data at rest
– AES256 encryption using customer-account private key
– geo-distributed data replication for fault tolerance

Yes, we offer fully functional trials of our Plans. Basic plans are free to use forever and come with fewer inclusions and some restrictions.
Standard, Professional plans have a trial period of 7 days. Business and Enterprise plans have a Trial Period of 14 days. You can evaluate the product for the duration of the trial period after which you can continue to use the product by entering credit card details into your account at https://console.optechx.com.
Should you opt to discontinue the user of our services, we will offer full refunds during the first month of paid service following the end of your Trial Period for the unused portion following the end of the Trial Period if you decide OptechX is not for you.
After the first paid month, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges. If you choose to not add a credit card at the end of your 7-day or 14-day Trial Period, your account will automatically be terminated, and all data will be removed.

Please note: Although our trials include access to Technical Support, we do not provide data backups for trials, only for accounts with a Monthly or Annual active subscription.

Our support offerings are bundled with all OptechX Plans. The Basic Plan has access to email support with average response period of up to 48-hours. No phone or live chat support is provided for the Basic Plan.
Standard Plan includes email support with average response of up to 24-hours. Professional Plan includes email support with average response of up to 12-hours. Live Chat from 9am to 5pm AEST. Business Plan includes email support with average response of up to 8 hours. Live Chat from 9am to 6pm AEST Mon-Fri with option to add Phone Support as optional feature. Enterprise Plan includes email support with average response of up to 3 hours. Live Chat from 8am to 8pm AEST Mon-Fri with Dedicated Phone support included and subject to requirements for hours of operation.
All our systems are closely monitored, with 99.9% Uptime Guarantee across all our offerings. Any outates will be published to https://status.optechx.com with notifications being sent to our clients via email in advance.

Whether it’s a custom application, registry key, system configuration or a PowerShell script, OptechX will allow a custom bundle to be uploaded via the SOE Portal to be included in your imaging process. This enables you to bring any in-house applications or proprietary changes to our platform to be included in your system. These changes are not published for other clients and remain solely within your control. You can replace / update / delete these packages as your needs change, and they can be included in any number of SOE images you design up to your Plan limits.

While there is no maximum number of PC models you can include in an SOE image, it is recommended to design an SOE image to target a specific model machine. This helps to reduce the driver footprint and overall size of the SOE image file. Each Plan includes a limit on the number of supported OEM hardware driver packs that can be included into each image. The total number of images that can be built at any given time is subject to the Plan chosen.. You can always remove an image and replace it with another model or upgrade to the next level Plan as your business needs evolve.

OptechX is designed to work with OEM distribution channels, MDM, SCCM and MDT solutions out of the box. Instructions can be found for each integration via our guides. On-boarding support is provided for customers on our Business / Enterprise Plans. Basic, Standard and Professional Plan subscribers can log a ticket with our dedicated support team who will be able to provide you with the assistance you may require. Additionally, Standard and Professional Plan subscribers may purchase an additional on-boarding support package for $89/hour if you would like to have one of our teamwork with your IT support to get up and running. OptechX is designed to provide an Out of Box Engagement (OOBE) with all clients after signing up. We feel your staff will enjoy integrating this solution into your existing processes as much as we enjoyed building the platform.
